Professor Barrett has appeared in numerous television programmes and been the focus of various newspaper articles featuring Knee Surgery both in the UK and abroad. In particular, he featured in the BBC 1 series “City Hospital” for four years with presenter Nick Knowles and subsequently appeared in the BBC 2 series “Archaeological Mysteries”.

His pioneering techniques have featured in many articles including The Daily Express, regarding his successful reconstruction of an Olympic athlete’s knee and in The Daily Mail discussing his pioneering surgery and his novel technique of partial resurfacing of the knee.
